Please don't feel alone, ok?

To my beloved Trini Posse - please know that you're in my prayers. Sometimes it feels like when it rains it pours, and even now I am going thru a li'l ting because my bro isn't too well. And you know what I realise? Sometimes when you think things bad with you it worse elsewhere. But i have a list of names that I lift up in prayer and know that I'm remembering you guys (even though I don't have your real names lol) so TS, Frigg, Chef D and de rest of the posse - I'm with you. And the rest of the posse is with you too.

All jokes aside guys, I think that when we are counting are blessings we need to count our posse among them. Yes, we are all (or most of us anyway) Trinidadians and Trinidadians generally get along well with each other but we have really formed a family here. We are not just some random people that talk to each other everyday anymore. We have gone so far past just being people who just share a culture and a few laughs. We have come to genuinely care about each other.

When that dotish fella was threatening Frigg I was geniunely afraid for her and had she called on me, I would have done whatever I could have to help her. When she miscarried I grieved with her. When Chef D's house burned down I felt for her like she was a member of my family. I check on TS just to make sure that he's okay. When Doc went MIA, I sent emails because I was concerned.

Realistically, I don't know most of you people from the man on the moon. I would pass you straight in a crowd. I don't know your names, but when I tell you I care about you its because I do. When I tell you that I'm here for you its because I am. When I tell you that I love you, that is what I mean and I feel that love and support in return from you guys.

Posse that is something special......THAT is a blessing.

Thanks Izzy, and you are right, no matter what is going on in our lives, we know that it can be much worse. we just need to remember that if the Good Lord brought us to it, he will definitely get us thru it. Just remember to hold on to him, and we will achieve all things.

We are a Blessed bunch of people, nothing will keep us down for long. lots of love posse!

I read this and it made me cry!
I don't know why I'm so emotional these days..lol
Anyway, thank you ALL for the virtual support.

I was thinking the same thing when I had a disaster happen to me, i thought about all those families who lost their lives in the 9/11 attack and then I thought about all the lives and homes lost when Hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana and thought to myself , at least I am still alive and I can rebuild from my remaining, but some people didn't have that, so there's some truth in what you're saying.. But I'm doing OK. I came to the USA many years ago with just about US $600 and some out of the weather clothing in a suitcase, lol, and after many years I accomplished a lot, I did it once and I definitely can do it again, BUT I have a lingering thought on where should I do it.
