Puerto Rico Waterfalls?

I'm going to Puerto Rico at the end of August and taking my elderly mother with me. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any waterfalls that don't require a long or strenuous hike to get there. Thanks for your help!!

Well in El Yunque(rain forest) are the best waterfalls. There is a big 1 you can swim in, but that requires hiking & is not suitable for someone elderly. But if you just drive around the whole island you will see small waterfalls along roads, especially in Utuado, Orocovis, Morovis, etc.. There is one place in Orocovis called Dona Juana Recreation Center, I think it is Toro ***** forest. It is a fresh water waterfall that flows into a swimming pool & back out again. It is pretty to see. It is up in the mountains, but you drive there & park your car. & the there are 2 flights of stairs that lead you up to the fall. I went with ederly family & babies in strollers & it was fine. It is not crowded & free to get in. Good LK!

The one's I have been to, all of them required a hike to get to...at the least 20-30 minutes, going fast.

The waterfalls are really deep in the forest. One we went to was Ororcovis. It was beautiful. There is also one in El Yunque but the paths are really slippery and moss covered. The one in El Yunque you can get in. This one can take a good 45 minutes to get to from the parking lot.

Which ever one you go to, have fun!! It was worth it.

A few kilometers from Dona Juana Recreation Center, theres another waterfall that you can see from the street. You could also park your car and take some pictures. I suggest you should contact a tour operator and ask about your specific needs: http://www.gotopuertorico.com/ecotours-puerto-rico.php. That's the official web page of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. Pictures and more info: http://travelandsports.com/oro.htm

The best is at El Yunque, maybe your mother don't want to get into the water, just see it. Enjoy PR.

In El Yunque, Puerto Rico´s rainforest, you can find lots of waterfalls. La Coca is the biggest and you can certainly go there by car.

Go to El Yunque Tropical Rain Forest.
