Puerto Rico is not really affected by that. I'm pretty sure they liked Obama more though. So, I'm pretty sure Puerto Rico is happy.

In the primary vote here Hillary won over Obama like fifty something % vs forty something % (I do not remember exact figures). But after winning the Democrat nomination all democrats here joined for his support. So, yes, even before the election people of PR support Obama.
One of the two top campaign leaders for Obama, Pedro Pierluisi got elected as Resident Commisioner (Congress) by 52% vs 42%.
The current governor, Anibal Acevedo Vila (also an Obama supporter), lost the re-election against current Resident Commisioner Luis FortuƱo (a republican). However, PR have our own local polithical parties. Being democrat or republican is not a mayor issue in the local elections in PR.
