Jamaica is a beautiful country and rich in history. The diverse background consists of Africans, Chinese, English, Spanish and those who are descendents of the Taino Indians the first people of the island.
I have been to Jamaica every year since 1999. The reason I keep going back is because of the people. Everywhere you go there are those who are friendly and those who are not. In my travels I have been fortunate enough to be part of those who are friendly.
I have been to several other caribbean islands and none touch my heart like Jamaica. It takes my breath away. Every time I go I experience something new, whether it is a new part of the island I travel or a new friend I make.

I went last spring break. The people are sooooo kind and friendly. The food and place is beaufitul, the weather is great! It's a very good place to go for vacation.

Yes you should go ...
Besides its lovely wide beaches, nice warm sea and temperature, Jamaica also has beautiful nature. If you 'do not want to rent a car you can book yourself on a roundtrip for a few days to see the other parts of the island.
Also, the Jamaicans are fun people with lots of humor

GO THERE: EXPERIENCE THE BEACHES THE FOOD AND THE PARTIES. THE NIGHT LIFE.

GO TO PLACES LIKE FAITH'S PEN IN ST ANN. FERN GULLY GO TO NEGRIL AND SEE THE BEACHES.. JUST EXPERIENCE IT ALL ITS A NICE PLACE.

BE CAUTIOUS AND DONT BE STUPID BECAUSE WHILE THERE ARE AWESOME THINGS IN JAMAICA, IF U ACT STUPID AND GIDDY HEADED YOU COULD BE TARGETED AND ROBBED ETC. ONCE U HAVE YOUR HEAD ON YOUR SHOULDERS.. GO AND EXPERIENCE THE PPL AND THE FOOD AND THE BEAUTY OF IT ALL. AND THE NIGHTLIFE.

The people are super nice and it is clean. The food is fantastic, and way way healthier than we eat here (ya gotta try the ackee and saltfish, jerk chicken, and curry goat).

There's alot of things to see there, though I pretty much stayed away from the more tourist-y attractions.

I will be going there again asap and as often as possible.

I've been to Jamaica once and i loved it. the waters are beautifully clear, the culture there is well kept, and the people are so welcoming! everyone's your friend there. i talked to a lady there for, like, 2 minutes, and she gave me a free corn rose! I loved it, and think it is better than going to Hawaii.

uhhmm sorry ms. bell, but im from the USVI and it cant compare to jamiaca, sorry, but its true! been there on couple occassions to visit my family and its beautiful in certain areas, like negril, ocho rios etc, dont know much about the names of the places but all i know is everytime i go we have a blast, they do try to hustle you drugs but just say no LOL! the people are very nice in jamaica especially to white tourist.

Yes ! Very beautiful, nice weather, clear clean water, friendly people, music that makes you wanna dance..etc there's too much to type ! Jamaica is a place with so much culture to learn. You'll never be bored and have a fantastic time making you not wanna leave or making you wanna return again and again.

If a person's never been to Jamaica I know some have bad stuff to say but you won't know anything about Jamaica until you go. Experience is something that everyone wants in LIFE , you wanna experience different stuff so go to JAMAICA and have the time of your life , I know for a fact you'll be wanting to go again and again.

Definately go!! The people are very very friendly and it is a big time party island. True enough you will probably get offered drugs..but its the caribbean, so what else is new. Water is beautiful and clubs are fun. Be sure to go to Margaritaville and do the slide!!!

I went to Jamaica a number of years ago and it was one crazy place. When my plane landed in Montego Bay, they had a reggae band playing at the airport and were handing out rum punch to everyone. I stayed at a resort in Negril, where they had a nude beach. The people are friendly, but kind of strange, too. Jamaicans are very laid back and easy going. Once I went off the property, I was offered drugs. Of course I refused. I don't take drugs anyway. The scenery is very pretty. I went parasailing with some other people from the resort and it was wonderful. The sunsets in Jamaica are spectacular. I didn't care much for the food where I stayed. The weather is good, even in January. Nice beaches. It just depends on what you're looking for in a trip. Jamaica is ok, but I've been to better places. I liked St. Thomas the best in the Caribbean. It is the U.S. Virgin Islands and there is alot more to see and do than in Jamaica. Hope that helps.
