Should i take UK sterling or US dollar travellers cheques to jamaica?
US
Jamaica has its own currency however it is common for them to accept US dollars.
Some places do accept UK sterling but the majority have priced their goods for US Dollars

Take USD, the locals prefare them and you get more over there for them, dont forget tom take plenty of $1 bill's for tips, I recomend when you get to the airport you DONT have the porters to help you with your luggage,
Have fun there it's nice island,

very very few people take sterling nowadays, it Best to use American express travellers cheques in dollars as an overall best buy.
