Depends,
Are you comming from Spain? Mexico? Venezuela? Then yes. International flights passengers requires passports.

Are you coming from Florida?, New York? Texas? No, until the Homeland Security changes the rules for US domestic flights.

No passport is required for US citizens and those travelling on domestic US flights. However, due to the large amounts of international traffic there and its geographical location, it would be suggested to travel with a passport if you have one. Customs and Border Protection like to play "spot" games in the terminals.

nope
haven't you seen the commercials it says as like a disclaimer thingy

Puerto Rico is a US Commonwealth. Until that status changes, passports are not required for US citizens who travel there from the US.

The US Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John) are US Territories. Passports are also not required for US citizens who travel from the US to a US Territory.

If your flight goes to Canada (or some other "foreign" country) before landing in Puerto Rico, you do need a passport. Otherwise, you do not.

I live in PR and No, there is no need to use passport to travel here if you are coming form USA. But due to the new regulations of the government you will need it beginning in 2008. Right now only a valid id is enough.

KhymmNYC
No it's a US Territory

HRRecruiter
It tends to vary from year to year. I lived there my whole life up until last year. In the late 90s sometimes you would need a passport. They were very ADD when it came to asking for passports or not. I believe now it is more standard, but supposedly starting in Janurary 2008 you will need a passport. Just have it just in case. With Puerto Rico you never know.

Chanel M
You don't need a passport to go to P.R , my mom is from puerto rico , and has never had a passport. You might need a passport a year from now, because they are changing the rules. If your going soon you don't need one , but try to get one.

flybd5
Puerto Rico has been part of the United States since 1898. It is not a country, it is an unincorporated territory. You don't need a passport to travel wholly within the United States.
