It's hovensa. It was HESS years ago, but I now know they are called Hovensa.

More than likely they would hire people from the mainland, as long as you fit the job qualifications that you are looking into.

it is the HOVENSA refinery.

apply to
HOVENSA L.L.C.
Human Resources
1 Estate Hope, St. Croix, VI 00820-5652

as long as you have your qualifications you have a chance of being hired, no matter where you are from.
good luck

HOVENSA is the largest refinary in the western hemisphere. It's a joint venture between HESS Oil and the government of Venezuela. While some people work directly for HOVENSA most who work there are under contract by outside contractors. The average contract is two years. The refinary is the second largest employer on-island and because of strict safety standards it's not so easy to a job there unless you have industry specific skills.

the name is HESS and they do hire mainlanders.

The main oil refinery use to be Hess Oil but it is now known as the Hovensa Oil Refinery. They use to hire people from the mainland but I am unsure of the surrounding circumstances of the mainland hires. Good luck... I was born and raised there, it is a beautiful place to live.
