If I'm from Tobago can I answer the question? :-)
I love Christmas hands down. I like the spirit of Carnival but I don't play mas or anything like that so for me it's more of just a holiday from school.
But Christmas was when you saw the whole family that you hadn't seen in ages and my mom would have us baking cake for days (cause you know everyone that pass by have to have a piece). Everyone just always seemed nicer at Christmas than any other time.
And of course the music...it's always sweeter. |

This is like asking me to choose my son over my daughter. They are both different and i love them totally. I do not want to choose. |

Christmas - its just the feeling yuh get and of course all the gifts you receive!

This is a tough question TS. I have no idea which one to chose!
Christmas and Carnival are special to me for different reasons.
Christmas growing up for me was a time for family and friends. The house was clean and full of good food. The memories were warm and very special.
Carnival was special too. I started playing mas when I was in primary school. I was in awe of the splendor of it all, even at that age. I still love this unique celebration of our culture.
Boy, why you ask this question to confuggle meh brain dis hour in de morning? |
