I've been there; I'm from there.
Trinidad is the twin island sister of Tobago. They have a twin island government with a population of about 1.3 mil. Trinidad is in the Caribbean and its population is very mixed as it relates to the standard of living and even in races of people -- all up in one. Trinidad depends on the revenue from producing refining and exporting oil/products. Trinidad produces the best carnival in the world. The people are very friendly and Trinidad is the place to lime.

trinikim
Trinidad is one of the most cosmopolitian islands in the Caribbean and generally has a number of tourists visiting the beaches and other attractions each year (Carnival, parties, etc).

Check out some of the upcoming events we have if you're planning to visit soon :) http://www.idletribes.com/trinievents
