There are lots of duty free shops to browse. You can buy souvenirs, Tshirts, mugs, all sorts of locally made trinkets, jewelry (my personal fav) alcohol (Trinidad rum punch is delish) and music.
Or you could do what we locals do. Maco people :-) Meaning...just sit back and take in all the characters that pass by while you're waiting. |

shop around piarco international, and u HAVE to try local food (if u have'nt before). Buy souvineers and stuff and for food, try alo pie, doubles, sahina, and what ever else u can find, and try to fit in a visit to the capital (Port of Spain), Have fun there!!!!

lol lucy, I almost didnt understand what you said, far more for someone who dont speak trini. lol
Except for all the duty free shops that you can shop in, and the fact that there are usually some 'interesting' characters passing through the airport, and all the local food that you must try (dont forget the doubles), you could consider taking a trip to Trincity Mall (cost about TT$10.00) and doing the same things - shop, sit in the food courts and maco people, go to the movies, and you will even be able to get a roti there.
A note to the adventurous: if you choose to eat the local food, leave the pepper alone. If you are having doubles or roti, you do NOT want to have it with any pepper. |

well u'll be at Piarco International Airport.
its great there, browse around the compound, there's alot to see and very interesting for a foreign person. make sure and get some trini food to eat at that time too..
try "doubles" u'll like it!!

1st sleep then u can watch the movie then sleep some more then read a book or something then it might have another movie so u can watch tat and then either read some more or sleep and when u start to see like u're close look out the window |
