US Virgin Islands Travel Requirments?

I am booking a honeymoon trip to the US Virgin Islands. I am not a US Citizen. Will my green card and my drivers license be enough to enter the islands and leave them?
However my fiance is a US Citizen. Does he still need a passport or will his drivers be enough to enter and leave the islands?

You may use your Green Card to travel, your friend may travel on his driver's license.
A flight to U.S. territories like Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Swains Island and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands is considered to be a domestic flight where the provisions of the WHTI do not apply.

The drivers license will be enough for both. US Virgin Islands are a US Territory. So, if your are traveling directly from US counts as a domestic flight, it's the same if you where flying from NY to IL, something like that.

You do not need a passport to travel to the Virgin Islands. It is the same as flying from one state to another.

The US Virgin Islands is a US territory so your USC spouse can use valid government issued identification, such as a driver's license. You are required to travel with your green card at all times. so you will need it go to the VI. Just a little advice. If your husband naturalized in the US and has a foreign accent I suggest he walks with a passport. If you decide you want to take a trip to the British Virgin Islands you should have your passport as well.

After June 1st EVERYONE NEEDS A PASSPORT TO RE-ENTER THE U.S. and that is from the U.S.V.I. and Puerto Rico... Amerikans will no longer be able to go to foreign countries with just an old utility bill for ID... The State Dept. has been warning AmeriKans for THREE YEARS that they will need passports.. but, of course, since AmeriKans have a 5 minute attention span.. come June FIRST they will whining and complaining about how they can't go on some crap cruise ship like carnival because they don't have a PASSPORT.

It says here that all persons traveling by air outside of the United States are required to present a passport or other valid travel document to enter or re-enter the United States.

Additionally, all U.S. citizens must show proof of identity and proof of U.S. citizenship when entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the countries of the Caribbean by land or sea.

Acceptable documents include: U.S. Passport Book, U.S. Passport Card, or other document approved by the Department of Homeland Security.

U.S. citizens who do not have a single document verifying identity and citizenship must present both an identification and citizenship document; for example, a driver’s license and a copy of a birth certificate or naturalization certificate.

# LATER:
On June 1, 2009, the U.S. government will implement the full requirements of the land and sea phase of WHTI. The proposed rules require most U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry to have a passport, passport card, or other travel document approved by the Department of Homeland Security.

However, if either or both of you want's to return to the US after June 1st of this year, both of you will need a passport to reenter the US.
