He can make himself enough money without killing or crippling himself on a Football field.

Short of a US$150m signing bonus, it probably won't happen.

As far as his ability to handle the game, peopel shoudl remember that he set a goal of converting himself form a long distance runner in December 2007 and achieved it in less than 6 months, running World Record time. We cannot underestimate his ability to learn and adapt as an athlete if given world-class NFL training prior to him appearing on the field. His level of focus is the very DEFINITION of an extraordinary athlete.

You're exactly right. The man is fast, but it would slow him down somewhat if he ran into someone built like a brick wall. Pure speed is great if you're an Olympic sprinter, but it takes a lot more than that to play in the NFL.

It depends if he can catch. And yes of course he would need to gain more muscle but he would be a hall of fame wide receiver if he were to join the NFL.

Bolt would definitely get a tryout from any team in the league but that doesn't mean he can get to NFL quality. Ive seen track stars try and fail at becoming quality football players and that was on much lower levels. Bolt probably has the muscle competition to be an incredibly hard hitter. He has explosion combined with long limbs that can provide torque.

Receiver
Physically his size 6'5, 190 lbs and speed would make him ideal for the position of receiver. The problem here will be learning how to catch superfast nfl passes. Also, his side to side speed is still untested and many would argue is more important than straight line speed.

Cornerback
I think it would be harder for him to play corner back than reciever as the position needs a great deal of practice and height is secondary to reflexes and quickness.

Outside Linebacker
Positions like linebacker will require less skill improvement but Bolt would have to put on a lot of weight to be eligible at this position.

Safety
On the defense I could see him playing strong or free safety more than anything. At strong safety he can utilize his speed to run people down but doesnt need to have the skills of a corner or size of a linebacker. He will need to put some weight on though. Free safety is also an option but he needs to have that nose for the ball that you cant teach overnight.

Special Teams
Bolt would probably have the best chance at breaking in as either a kickoff team gunner where he can rely on sheer speed. It will take some time to learn how to tackle but probably less than learning how to cover passes or catch the ball at NFL quality. Another position that might be worth giving him a shot is at Kickoff Returner. Its a position that requires someone to run hard, straight and fast as opposed to punt return where you find the smaller more nimble return men.

If I was a coach would I let Bolt try to walk on? Sure...but I wouldnt draft him as football in the NFL is much more than speed and strength.

anybody who knows anything about football knows it's not as simple as having him outrun everyone and catch the ball.. you have to remember that now in the internet age, "media" is a loose term thrown around for anyone who likes to write..

I think he could. He is still pretty strong for any athlete. he would be better than randy moss. he runs faster, better acceleration, he is taller, he probably can jump as high, and he could learn how to catch.
He would also be a great returner. his average return would be amazing!
