I LIVE in Jamaica so i would prefer to go to Maui. lol.
Realistically speaking, for what you are looking for, both Jamaica and Maui will deliver!
They can both present you with safe getaways that are amazingly beautiful. So how do costs compare? If you have a family, cost is probably a factor, so run with the most reali$tic option. |

I have never been to maui,would love to go! You should go to Jamaica! I go there every 3 months ! I love it! i am hoping to move there with my boyfriend in about a year and a half! You will definitely not get bored in Jamaica! There is snorkeling,horseback riding,beautiful beaches,etc!Please choose Jamaica! it is not dangerous! Just do not walk with your head in the clouds,just like any other country! One love! |

You should go to Jamaica and you would have more fun if you didn't spend all your time snorkeling and those tourist activities, you could try Pegasus or Hilton Hotel and spend some time in Kingston, see the real life of people here. |

You can do all you want..Sun, Snorkle ,White water rafting, enjoy the pretty beaches and it is perfectly safe. My suggestion would be look at the south coast,where Jamaicans will treat you with great respect,they will treat you like family.
Don't stay in a all inclusive with great big walls,get out and enjoy Jamaica you won't regret it!!

Maui has lots of stuff to do, and it is safer. There is plenty of snorkeling, like to Molokini, and off the shores of Wailea, and other areas. It also lists many activities to do while you are there. It is definitely safer, you won't have beggars bothering you, or vendors following and harassing you, and be worried about your possesions. |

Maui is good, Caribbean is great...BUT NOT JAMAICA, That country is downright dangerous for tourists unless they are holed up in all inclusive enclosures
Try Dominican Republic, for Good beaches , pools and relatively safe. |
