you are funny little one. you have lived a privileged life, but just don't know it yet. many kids your age can only read about vacations in magazines. you r being taught a valuable lesson about solitude. being alone, letting your mind wander and think about..... anything. you are 13. pretty soon u will be 18. sound far away? trust me, it will hit when u least expect it. have u thought about your future yet? what do you want to do or be in life? get a diary and start writing things down just to see how many times you will change your mind in the years to come. where or what do you see yourself doing or being in the next year, 5years? it's also time for a little honesty to your parents, "mom, dad, we do the same thing year after year, can we do something different this year?" you have less than a year to start planning for next years' vacation.. show them what you have learned in school as far as research. since you love the internet so much, show your research internet skills. make a slide show or give a presentation (something that you will do later in life for a job or class in college.) show how you and your parents can have a great time on vacation that you have picked. go to a resort that is kid and adult friendly ( all inclusive is all included fun food & plane fare.) i will help u get started... here are a few websites http://www.vacmart.com/ http://www.cheapcaribbean.com/ http://www.hotwire.com/ http://www.travelzoo.com/ remember that all that glitters is not gold. therefore check the resort before buying the deal. go to this website to listen to reviews from other people. put the name of the hotel in the search box http://www.tripadvisor.com/
most all inclusive resorts are in another country here is the website to sign in and to get passports.
http://www.travel.state.gov/ look under international travel for us citizens. then click on registration with embassies. check out whatever else may interest you on that page especially Emergency assistance to americans abroad and Tips for traveling abroad .

go to the embassy page of the country that you choose for example i w ent to the domincan republic last month here is that website. go to http://www.domrep.org/ once there go to embassy. under embassy click on embassy staff. print that page and put it in a safe place. also do the same thing for the consular section click on consular staff and print & put in safe place for that just in case of an emergency the site above is not mandatory to sign but highly recommended in case something happens. it is however mandatory for military and govt personnel
you have at least 4-5 mos to start plotting your big presentation. u r only 13, so u r going to have to step up to the plate to show your maturity level. no tantrums, rolling eyes, etc to get your way. etc. if you don't want to get passports, u can travel to US territories; google them. you may also want to talk to your parents about bringing a friend or family member or staying with a friend or family member. have fun whatever happens next year.

Boo hoo for you. Many people never take vacations so stop complaining. Your parents lay around on the beach because they work hard for you and don't have anymore energy.

There are some pretty inexpensive cruises online. I've had good luck at SpinCityTravel.com under the cruise tab. There are plenty of activities for all ages on most cruises.

Maybe you could find a hobby you like to do.; arts & crafts, reading, writing a story, sewing, take a puzzle to do, get pen pals and write letters, ask your parents to play board games with you, teach you chess.
Maybe you have a cousin or friend to stay with while your parents are away. Maybe a cousin or friend could go with you on vacation.

You may not want to hear this..............but.................at 13 you have lots of time for vacations.. Wait a few years, like 5, and you are on your own!!!
