Visiting Puerto Rico...?

A couple of girlfriends and I want to take a trip to PR soon. I was wondering what would be a good area for us to stay in. We are single and want to have some fun but also relax? Also is it ok to go in the late fall...like early November?
Any suggestion on traveling to Puerto Rico would help especially for single girls.

Thank you!!

a good area would be in condado in san juan
condado would be the best for you and for anyone because there are alot of big hotels and casinos. Condado is like a 3 min cab ride to old san juan where most of the night life is but condado also has alot of night life in all of the hotels.
Condado has a good beach for relaxing but it is mostly toursits. the best beach in san juan is in isle verde.
isle verde is about 1.5 miles away from condado also this is where alot more locals go!
going to puerto rico in november is really nice ofcourse because it is tropical and still is hott but in november/december is when everybody comes to puerto rico.
It is the high season so there would be alot more people than if you came in the summer!
-when i say alot more people alot more toursits!
have fun PR is the best you will love it

Want to relax? LEAVE SAN JUAN!

I specially love the Cabo Rojo area in southwestern Puerto Rico. Absolutely beautiful. It is already starting to get fully "discovered," so now is the time to go.

You can also do the country club thing at Dorado Beach (west of San Juan) or Palmas del Mar (southeast of San Juan). You can rent a beachfront house in Luquillo Beach (east of San Juan) and visit the rain forest. Or you can visit one of the special country inns (paradores) somewhere in the center of the island.

Whatever you do, specially if you want to relax, is don't do the normal tourist thing and stay in San Juan. That's party capital of the Caribbean. And with the exception of Old San Juan (not to be missed, make a day trip out of it), San Juan is not that special. Go out on the island, as the locals say. You will need to rent a car, otherwise you won't be able to get around, but driving outside of San Juan is easy (don't even get be started about San Juan traffic.)

And while I do not want to seem mean, I don't want to spell out my special place for fear of it becoming swamped by tourists. It's already happening and it's almost making my cry. But it's starts with a C and it's between Puerto Rico and St. Thomas.

for single gurls i recomend "The Water Club Hotel". Is a boutique hotel in front of a nice hot beach. also, go clubbing at night in old san juan. ashford ave also has many venues and places to eat. plaza las americas is a gurls paradise. smaller towns of rincon, an La Parguera are cute too.

The In spots will be Isla Verde in Carolina, condado and Old San Juan in San Juan...Transportation to anywhere is easy available..Police patrols 24 hours....

Pier 1 is a very nice club and Old san Juan has a little bit of everything..

Puerto Rico's pretty small, so you can stay in a San Juan hotel and have reasonably quick access to a good portion of the island (provided you have a rental car). San Juan's also pretty nice in that anything you need/want is within walking distance. A head's up: some of the gift shops are REALLY kitschy.

Keep in mind that if you are planning on going to Puerto Rico close to the holidays, especially if you are staying in San Juan, it can get ridiculously packed with tourists.

Rincon is a very nice place. Great beaches! Try Angelo's Car Rental, cheap rental.

aguadilla, isabela, rincon- these towns have fantastic beaches. Great for relaxing or for surfing or snorkeling. Take some surfing lessons over there too. The food is very typical and way less expensive than san juan. Lodging is also less expensive. The overall feeling of these towns are RELAX...TAKE A LOAD OFF & HAVE FUN!
