Planters chili balls. hmmmmmmm, Izzy is chinese sausage - them does taste realllll good boy, especially if yuh take it from somebody else. Polourie from the lady who was selling outside the school gate, and red mango with d sauce dripping down yuh hands. Trambran balls, Sunshine corn curls, and cheeseballs, and cheezee in d brown pack. and bourbon when it was $.50. and those Tomato ball sweetie things that was 5 cents for one. and dont forget joe chewing gum...with d tattoo.

look how ah almost forget: rice cakes and jalabee from the market. Speaking of which, any ah allyuh know how to make jalabee? send some for meh nah, yuh know how long me ent eat that?

ah see meh cousin who living in NY send ah dvd of she making apple chow, and she soo good, she put chief pepper sause in it, and put d bowl outside in the sun for d chow to soak, well me ent play i laugh at she, cause it have trinidadians living next door, so if one ah dem did see she chow, she woulda been lucky to get any lol.

I cant believe i understood all of that, one of the perks of growing up in Queens.

My fav snacks arent as exotic as yours, but i love/loved fruit roll-ups. Those were my fav, and i'll still get them every now and then and go through the entire box in one sitting.

Also, its kinda gross, but i loved Viena Sassuages. Those little things in the tin can that was packed with the gel-water stuff. Eww gross. but i used to eat them all the time.

Any nastiness, I was dey! Corn curls, chili bibi, tambrun stew, any kinda chow once it had plenty pepper, red mango....the list goes on. Some of my happiest childhood memories revolve around liming with friends while stuffing snacks down my gullet.

I love everything the posse mentioned.
but I really loved chow, any type,once it had pepper.
Loved toolum, sugar cake, all the chinese prunes including sweet and sour.. Love all the Indian sweets from chaguanas market. Don't forget choco and toffee, tamarind balls.
What I would really like right now is a sapodilla. I still eat most of my childhood snacks that I can find.

yeah.. i remeber those... i used 2 go by tanty molly shop dong d road and by corn curls, digestive cookis, burbon, custardcream,salt mango, chinese cherries,booyee, red loliopp d on that does makem yuh lip red, and red mango...

hoenestly i can say i really missed my childhood and these snack!...

Whenever my mother visits now I ask her to bring me the "nastiness". Preserve plum, cherries, mango, chilli bibbi, chinese communion,salt and sweet prunes. I also used to eat the corn curls, caramel chocolate, ice block (frozen kool aid) and kaser ball (so big you had to lick it for a couple days to get it to fit in your mouth). Wow! what memories!

well i still eat d snacks and dem but when i was younger cheers was the flick cuz yuh cudda make it a lipstick.bourbon,catch, pennacool,suck-a-bag.
funny thing is i didnt like the way the stick popeye candy used to taste but i used to be buying it with my frenz so we cud pretend we smoking....ah,when yuh young and foolish
but all the snacks allyuh named already,i used to and still does eat.when i go to the shop i does look for my chee-zees,chocolate digestive.these days it have all kinda chow,pineapple,mango,everything yes
i does tief my nephew snacks too,his cheers,choo-choos,ping pong,nuggle (nibble a nuggle was the ad...lol) and lunch (it's lunch time...lol)
and yuh had to buy the gum with the tattoo in it....lol
imagine yuh mother give yuh one dollar and u good for the entire day?!?!?!

Yes man TS. How ah could forget meh salt prunes? My muddah was constantly giving me high blood pressure horror stories in high school because I was forever wit a salt prune in my mouth!

I use to lime wit me grama plenty. So i use to always get sugarcake the big brown sugar ones. Toolum, beeni balla, tambran bal. Ah time meh aunt try to make fudge and it come out like toffee but ah well eat. When time fuh school is brubon that time was 50cents and everything was a corncurls and when yuh going home from school was a suckah bag and penacool and sometimes redmango by the ole lady shop out de road.. Those were the good ole days with good oletime snacks. Not like now. Demn **** dey making and nothing now for less than 75 cents.
