We're planning a family vacation...? |
I'm plannig a vacation and there will be 2 couples and 2 teen age kids (13 girl & 16 boy). Any good suggestions for Caribbean or anywhere else really nice?
I'm open to 5 star and all inclusive; I have access to a time share system that has lots of places. Thanks for your suggestions! Additional Details To Macaw_Lover and any others... we own time share 1 hour north of Toronto in a town called Barrie. The resort is called Carriage Hills Resort. Our "home" resort has an affiliation with RCI which allows us to trade our home resort time with any RCI resort. www.rci.com - there are hundreds of resorts available in many different countries.
My family that I am taking has never been anywhere; literally, so they're excited about going anywhere that is sunny/hot with beautiful beaches and scenery. My husband and I have been to Freeport, Bahamas and just returned last week from Puerto Vallarta.
That's why I selected Caribbean as there are different places to choose some and I've heard it's beautiful. However, we are always open to suggestions from others. |

Belize is the English language nation in Central America.
Aruba is geared to the cruise ship crowd and safe.
Jamaica has reggae music which the teens would like. There is a radical difference between the poverty area and tourist area.
Haiti is a HUGE no no, but Eliona Bernhard is a groovy guy.
St. Thomas and St. Kitts are British, eh what.
Guatamala is iffy just now, but does have the recently discovered jade mountain. |

Hmm, Hawaii is really nice, especially for families. But make sure the teens pack their Ipods or cd players, otherwise they'll make the whole trip a nightmare. |

I wanted to ask you before I answered this....you said you have a time share? So you don't need hotel accommodations. Then you will just be restricted to what is in the time share. Or were you saying you have access to it, but might not use it? I have several suggestions I could give to you.
I'm a Caribbean specialist and go there 1 - 2 times a year. Several lovely islands as well as all inclusives to choose from. Feel free to message me and I will answer as best I can once I know more info to answer correctly. |

Go to Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico is full of history, beautiful countryside and beaches. Look for the Caribe Hilton in San Juan or the Conquistador in Fajardo. |

I'd suggest Barbados -- Down the west coast, south coast where to stay, they've got nice hotels but not sure of all inclusive, though but I guess you could find out by googling. And once you are at the hotel, there's beaches nearby, as well as access to supermarket(s), public transit to Bridgetown (1.50 BDS each way). If you want, I could see if I can find anything of your taste, all you can do is contact me via E-mail: totally_del@hotmail.com . |

Our best trip EVER was London and we have been all over the world. There is so much to do and the transportation system is excellent.
We also love Carnival cruises. You see a new place every day and they DRIVE you there! |

I think you have answered your own question with your question when you stated you have time share with lots of places. Get the booklet out and ask the folks you are going with. No pund intended here, but it is your folks vacation, not ours....You should share this question with them and should come to a fair agreement of a place that you all will like together. I do wish you the up most grand time. Sounds like a fun way to do a vaction with another couple and kids. |
