We are having a Destination wedding with lots of 25-40 year olds.... What part of Jamaica is best?

We definitely want beachfront, but close enough for canopy rides, 4X4's, etc......we party (but not in high class nightclubs really)....so some action and some relaxation!

Another vote for Negril.. Long stretch of white sand beach. Many bars and restaurants all along the beach, and great resorts.. The nightlife is a lot of fun also. Every night there can be live reggae found at one of the bars on the beach. Or Thursday night is ladies night at The Jungle, for those that like to dance.. Negril also has some fun sight seeing. Mayfield Falls, YS falls , Pelican Bar, Appleton's rum estate tour, Black River, Roaring River and in town you can check out the lighthouse and whoopie park.
Check out

for more info and the nightly line up at the different clubs.
Congratulations and Good Luck!

Stay away from Kingston (dangerous area), avoid Montego Bay (urban), and head for the northwest and/or west coast of Jamaica, for example Negril, instead. The are lots of all-inclusive resorts in this area that might suit your purpose best.

Consdier Port Antonio. My son actually got married recently we stayed at the Gran Bahia (beautiful resort) and had the reception at Half Moon ( very upscale) www.halfmoon.com

There are a number of places you can go. How about www.sandals.com * Whitehouse* very romantic

Last summer we went to Runaway Bay (between Ocho Rios and Mo Bay) and loved that area. We did the canopy tour at Chukka Cove (they have a website) and could have done 4x4s, horseback riding, bicycle tours, etc. there. Our resort was Breezes Runaway Bay and it was a fun place but we also were able to relax. Their disco is open all night. That resort is a 3 star but recently underwent a $30 million dollar redo. Also, for the "adventurous" couples, Hedonism is about 2 miles away and BRB guests can do day or night visits for free.

Go to TripAdvisor.com and check out the islands resorts. You will learn LOTS about is available. Have a great trip!

Montego bay is the liveliest. I have stayed in Whitehouse sandals and Dunns river sandals in ocho rios. It is quite lively too but nothing in the way as Montego Bay. Sandals are fantastic value for money and really are the ultra all inclusive.

Never been to Jamaica, can I come along, but I'm over 40.

Sandals maybe

mostly the bad folks I was hanging with tend to leave tourists alone if its their wedding

have fun, it really is a good place for a wedding, bring money
