Try going to tripadvisor.com, they have lots of opinions from other people about all sorts of resorts. It'll give ideas of which type of place that will suit you.

We visit Sandals Negril often and always have a great time. Hope you have a wonderful honeymoon.

Hi we just went on our honeymoon to Jamaica in August. We went to the Couples Resort in Ocho Rios. It was amazing! And everything is included, the staff is super nice and friendly. There are other Couples Resorts in Jamaica, currently Ocho rios is being remodeled so you should look into the one in Negril it is beautiful!

Also, if you are on your honeymoon they give you free champagne and cheese and crackers ANd 30 min. massage at the spa.

The ONLY thing i strongly suggest is that you DO NOT drink the tap water!! We drank it cause they said it was fine, but a couple of weeks after coming back we got diagnoes with ameobiasis and thyphoid fever that we got from the drinking water!! That is the only thing that is not free at the resorts bottled watter.. so i guess you can either buy it there for 2dls a bottle OR drink alcohol the whole time cause thats free!

I'm jamaican and married my husband who had never been to Jamaica and decided for our honeymoon, that I would show him my roots. I therefore went to Sandals.com, and Breezes.com. I eventually chose Breezes.com and chose Breezes Runaway Bay. The idea is to choose an all-inclusive resort that will cater to your every need, including tours. Transportation is a given whether it's airport transfers or getting to and from your tours.

We honeymooned at Sandals Whitehouse and it was AMAZING!! I just can't say enough wonderful things about this place. We bought our trip including airfare through sandals.com. When you land in the airport you go straight to the sandals lounge and have a drink and use the nice restrooms. We didn't wait long before they called us to depart. They took our bags and put them on the bus. There is no extra charge for the transportation.

Our friends went to Couples Negril and they just loved it! They were there during Hurricane Dean last summer so they got 2 free nights to use this year.

We are going down to couples in April with them. We were going to Couples Ocho Rios but it is closed for remodeling. We decided on going to Couples Swept Away which is in Negril. A friend of a friend went there and also loved it.

I would check out www.sandals.com (I think I've seen ads for 50% off right now) or www.couples.com.

THese are all-inclusive COUPLES ONLY resorts. Perfect for a honeymoon. My hubby and I got a couples massage and paid for a private dinner on the beach, which was worth the money for us. It was very romantic. You can also book additional trips outside of the resort. We went on a Black River and YS Falls tour which was pretty good. Our friends jumped off some cliffs, which we are planning on doing when we go to Negril. We also went snorkling (awesome!) and on a booze cruise. At Sandals we had a concierge beachfront room. I liked the Concierge b/c they made any reservations for us (spa, snorkling, restuarants). I looked at tripadvisor.com but you find most that love a place and there are always a few haters, so read those reviews with a grain of salt. Good luck and let me know if you need more advise.

When I went to Jamiaca, it was for a mission trip so we stayed in a smaller town close to Montego Bay. We traveled to Dunn River Falls and it was amazing! It is right outside of Ocho Rios. There is a beach, and the waterfall which you can climb up or walk next to on steps. It was a very neat experience! It is $15.00 per adult to go.

The way

We went to "Couples" in Nigril... It was amazing. The beach view condo is the way to go. Make sure you do the horse back ride that was a blast as a portion of the ride the horses swim with you on their back.
