My husband and I got married in Jamaica - a while ago now! - in Ocho Rios. It was perfect. I would recommend that you get as late a time in the day as possible for your ceremony - that's what we did, and spent the morning lounging by the pool, drinking champagne. None of this rushing around like blue-a**ed flies for us! It's also cooler towards the latter half of the afternoon, which my husband did appreciate, as he was in full Highland dress.

If you've got lots of people coming to your wedding, have you thought about having the reception in the form of a barbie on the beach, with maybe a calyspo band? It's corny, yes, but if it's done in a good spirit, then it could be a gas. And presumably you're getting married in Jamaica because you don't want anything too formal? Well, that's a pretty informal reception...

If only a few people are coming, then I'd suggest a nice meal, either at the resort, or outwith, and a more mellow, chilled evening.

You should do whatever you want to do, at the end of the day - it is *your* day, and people are coming to see you get married. Their entertainment shouldn't feature more highly on the list than that!!

Best of luck with your wedding, and I hope you are very happy.

I don't know of any good websites, but congratulations on your wedding.

Great go for it girl!!! MoBay is sweeet. You'll enjoy being in the greatest Holiday resort in the world. And i'm not just saying it because i'm Jamaican.

*Just Married*
I was married at a Sandals Resort this past November. Our wedding was at 4pm and the reception at 5. By 7pm, the reception was over and my husband and I got a start on our honeymoon. I would definitely have a reception after the ceremony but after that... you two should go back to your suite. You will be ready to have some privacy and your guests will be ready to do their own thing.

I was really worried about keeping my guests entertained. Seriously, don't worry about it. Plan some group dinners and an activity or two (snorkeling, shopping trip, etc.). Have a reception after your ceremony and thats it. Your guests are going to want to do their own thing.

*Don't plan an activity on your wedding day. Your going to need all the time in the world to get prepared.

I got married there last year. Awesome resort, beautiful gardens, lots of stuff to do. Ask your wedding co-ordinator about stuff to do - they're pretty helpful. no problem mon is their answer to everything!!
