What's a good all-inclusive deal in the Caribbean?

How did you book your trip? How would you rate the resort, staff, food, etc.? Do you think all-inclusive is the way to go? Any place that would welcome small children and have activities for them and for adults only too? Thanks!

Our experience with Sandals resorts was terrific. We stayed at Sandals Montego Bay, and were treated like royalty ! Food, service, staff were all wonderful. They also have Beaches which is more "family oriented". Just go to sandals.com or beaches.com and you will find all the info you need. Yes, "all inclusives" may seem more expensive, but remember once you arrive, you pay for NOTHING...not even tips !

I would try Beachs.com like one person said they are a little more but welcome kids and are very nice, they take care of there guest. also try the RUI resorts. we go to Jamaica and they just built a new monster resort called Ochos Rios Rui. All-Inclusive and no tipping. don't know alot about them, but would recommend Beachs. also try www.tripadvisor.com many reviews and pitcures of resorts from people who have traveled there. We love Jamaica, because the staff makes the vacation, they treat you like royalty and yet are very poor. but this is the place we love for a great vacation

We went through Superclubs. We stayed at HEDO III and it was great. We are believers in the all inclusive because those resorts tend to offer great ammenities all the way around and at the end there are no surprises. You can usually get a good deal Sept-May minus the holidays. I am not sure about resorts that have childrens activities but I am sure there are many.

Sorry no precise advice but please find a page below which has a list of Caribbean Islands which you can click through.
Each page has a link to a tourist site plus ad type links which may help.
Good luck.

Go to beeches.com and sandals.com. Beeches is for families with children all inclusive and Sandals is for Adults Only and all inclusive owned by the same company. You stay at one and get to go to all of them for free. I plan to wed at a Sandals in St. Lucia next year. Good Luck, also check out disneycruise.com, its a cruise ship with disney and they have their own island for kids and adult time away from each other. I seen this on the travel channel I believe.

Contact one of your local travel agents. There are some great family-orientated all inclusives in Jamaica, and in the Dominican Republic. I only suggest all-inclusives to people who are either going to drink a lot, stay on property for all meals, or who eat a lot. Of course there are many activities included as well. For real, contact a local travel agent - they know tons about each and every place to go!

Iberostar resorts on the Riviera Maya and Punta Cana, D.R.
All-inclusives are a good value, often the kids don't pay much at all. Definitely use a travel agent, I agree.
