What's the best Carribean Island to visit? |
I'm not looking to spend a fortune, or stay at a resort. I'd like to go some place warm, with great culture, and safe enough to stay among the locals. Less touristy is good. |

If you can cope with the locals not speaking English consider Cuba.
As about 1/3 of the total population of the caribbean and 1/3 of the total land area, too, Cuba has enough going on that the tourists don't dominate. (I once spent a week in Manzanillo and only saw two other tourists in that time).
The Cuban people are generally friendly and fun-loving. |
