Christmas, 2001. Arrived in Dominica for the first time. Everything was closed. I was starving, nothing open.
So I called my parents to wish them a merry christmas, on the pay phones you could only call with a credit card.
I spoke 3 minutes with my folks.
Called my sister, spoke another 3.
Next visa statement: 76USD. For 6 minutes.
I was working on the Carnival Holliday then, for 2 weeks only. Worse ship of my life.
There are some nice old churches though.
I assume you mean Dominica and not the Dominican Republic. |
