Additional Details
sea water clarity?

Playing Nice
good weather, and once it has not been raining, the sea is clear, good for diving.

What "Barbados" Chick says is NOT true (she is not from Barbados, actually) We have had incidents of bad weather so proplonged that UK tour operators had to refund their customers for their trip!!

But May is right on for good weather. If you need a recommendation on a diving instructor, let me know.

A month where many other Caribbean islands are beginning to see an increase in rainfall, Barbados remains dry throughout the month of May. Temperatures are on the rise but cool trade winds from the east offer some respite.

May temperatures in Barbados range from an average low of 78.0 degrees to an average high of 85.0 degrees.

The Water clarity should be Excellent that time of year, you'll enjoy Scuba Diving!

?
It will be just the beginning of the raining season so it won't be too wet. The temperature will be mostly between 75 to 85 deg. F during the day and slightly lower at night.

The water is normally clear that time of year but can become cloudy after each rain.

We are having a very strange year... we had a dry wet season and now we are having a wet dry season - so much so that the trees are leafing out again and the turtles are having a hard time finding dry nest spots on the beaches.

Our temp really never varies - the humidity makes it "feel" warmer in July and Aug.

Water visibility will vary from day to day depending on what the sea has been doing - heavy swells pick up sand, and if there has been heavy rain, mud and sand tend to flow down the gullys and into the sea.

However, having said that - come on down, we really never have a bad weather day and if there ever is some bad weather - it does not last long.

Hurricane season starts in June, so it may be sunny with some light showers between.

The temp will be in the mid 80's range. You could get some rain showers during that time. I couldn't tell you the water clarity of the water. sorry.

good luck, have a great trip
