calaloo! I've been able to buy and make some here(in the states)but it never is as good as it tastes in Jamaica!how lucky are you to have an ackee tree in your yard!

I love ackee and saltfish from me a pickney. Gilbert blew down the ackee tree and i trimmed it and help me father straighten it back up.... couldnt do without mi fresh ackee.

My next favorite? Mackerel Rundown wid boil green banana and dumplins.

ok I have a whole lot...
1.Oxtail with butter beans and rice&peas
2.Salt Mackerel and boil dumpling and banana
3.Ackee and salt fish and FRIED breadfruit
4.Baked beans and salt fish with ROAST breadfruit (don't knock it till u try it...YUM)
5. Corned beef and white rice (...lawd mi shame but a true)
6. Curried chicken and white rice (when I cook it)
7. Steam fish with okra from the OUTSIDE Gloria's in Port Royal or the pumkin style fish from Prendy's over Hellshire.
8. Manish Water or Fish Tea

Lawd all a this mek mi wah get up and run a boat inna the night ya. LOL
