Jamaica is the 2nd top Honeymoon Destination outside of Hawaii being # 1.

Hawaii doesn't have All-Inclusive resorts as to where Jamaica you have/want to stay in an All-Inclusive. There are just not dining options like you have in other places. If you are planning on doing THIS Dec. you need to look into this ASAP!

Depending on your budget, length, options, expectations of your honeymoon, etc. will determine the right resort for you.

If you are a winter sports nut go someplace like Denver or Vancouver/Whistler for the skiing. If you are a sun and beach person go south of the continental US for guaranteed warm winter weather. Try Puerto Rico

I stayed at Atlantis resort in the Bahama's for my honeymoon last December. It is very romantic. The best trip ever!The resort isn't very crowded in Dec., so you don't have lines for the water slides and can get a chair at the pool.

If you have never traveled to the Caribbean before you might want to go with a 7 day cruise. You get a good sample of several islands, only have to unpack once, and have meals and entertainment included in the price. I think the Eastern or Southern Caribbean would be a great choice for an introduction to the area.

Royal Caribbean is a nice line to check out, as well as my favorite, Disney. Yes, there are lots of families on Disney, but there were plenty of young married couples as well, myself included. CruiseCritic.com is a great place to research different ships and itineraries and get people's honest feedback.

I really recommend Puerto Rico. It is an US territory,so it is very convenient. It gives you plenty of choices: pristine waters, 80-90 degrees during winter, the only rainforest in the US which is an amazing hiking experience with jaw dropping waterfalls where you can swim surrounded by nature (very romantic), Old San Juan is very charming and romantic (cobblestone streets, forts, great restaurants, lots of history,...), nature adventures. If I was to have a honeymoon, it'd be Barbados for sure as the top of my list right now -- Other than Hawaii, there's Jamaica, Barbados, Puerto Rico, Cuba. Caribbean is great if you want to get away from the cold with your loved one. :)

I honeymooned in the Bahamas three years ago in October. It was lovely. It is also the closest to the continental US. I also have traveled to Jamacia and other islands in March and April. Any place in the Caribbean is going to be warm and enchanting any time of the year. The closer you get to the Equator the better chances of hotter weather.
