My family is thinking about going there and we wanted to know about how much it would cost to stay at Atlantis (on Paradise Island) in the Bahamas for four people....
I always thought Barbados a friendly place, till I moved here, now I find it hard to make friends. Being female I dont want to turn up at bars by myself (people get the wrong idea). So how do I meet ...
ok ive been asking around to find out which caribbean island offers the best looking girls and guys. this is what i have so far- puerto rico, jamaica, Dominican republic, st. martin, virgin islands......
I am looking at Cuba for my honeymoon mid July 2008. Is this a good choice /?...

What are the prospects for employment of criminologists in Trinidad and Tobago?
Are job prospects for criminologists good in Trinidad and Tobago? I'm referring particularly to prospects for an individual with a Masters Degree in Criminology with a specialization in community safety and crime reduction with relevant overseas experience. Who hires criminologists in T&T? Any lecturing opportunities or any kind?
Don't waste your time..Trinidad is a mess when it comes to that..I don't think we even have criminologists here..people always getting away with crime down here..my advise is pick another country!

You should see the police in Trinidad, they are pathetic.
They definitely aren't hiring "criminologists!"
Does anybody hire criminologists? I know police departments hire detectives and police officers. Maybe you want to look into joining the police force. It's an easy job, they give you a machine gun and you stand on the street your whole shift, while the criminals do their dirty work in the back alleys.

I have travelled to T&T several times and each time I go things are only worsening there. Crime is so bad that even the residents there do not go out and fear for their safety. I have gone into police stations and have seen portions of the jails as a visitor and trust me, that is not a place that you should be using your hard earned credentials and experiences towards. There is very little structure there and it sounds like you wish to make a difference with your knowledge, skillset and overseas experiences...so I would suggest that you continue looking for a place who will appreciate all of what you have to offer. There is little room for advancement and I think you will be hard-pressed to find deserving rewards for your accomplishments and countless years of hard work.
If you are really determined to go then perhaps you can check out this site I found on google:

Best wishes in your future endeavours wherever you may go...

I wouldn't recommend working in Trinidad in THAT field. You honestly don't know who the criminal is most of the time.

I do not think you will have much luck in the area of Criminology here in T & T. However, I suggest you try the tertiary Level institutions such as UWI, Cipriani Labour college, SBCS and Roytec. They offer Programmes in Security Administration so you might be of some use to them.
Hope this helps.
