Officially, hurricane season stretches from June 1st to November 30th, and hits not only the Caribbean islands but also parts of Mexico, Florida and the Texas coast. Within that time frame, August to October are peak months.

Rainy season and hurrican season are two different things.

Hurricane season usually begins in August and end mid-October to beginning of November. Keep in mind, the southern caribbean usually is not in harms way from these hurricanes so if you must travel during those months go south!

June 1st to November 30th, but that's only hurricane season, rainy season is all year long.

When I was living in Puerto Rico I remember when a whole small mountain colapsed on Three Kings Day ( Christmas for local islanders) January 7th; from the rain, it saturated the ground and more than 500 families got covered with mud and where not able to survived. Ponce Puerto Rico. ( Mameyes).
