We just see how east Europe threw it to the garbage

Just why so many little guys have left and are still desperately trying to escape from Cuba ?

I have always heard that their their socialized medical system is good. People who I have talked to that have been there said they had good vacations. Of course you hear about cigars, rum, women etc., but you hear about similar things from others on vacations in other places. You also hear about the poverty and the police presence everywhere if you step outside your resort. Still, I would like to travel to Cuba one day to see it for myself. I have always been a fan of Castro and Che because they stuck up for the little guy against the corruption and imperialism which ravished the island and much of Latin America pre-Castro. Even if the revolution wasn't the answer, maybe there is a hidden lesson in it.
