The beautiful beaches, with the beautiful Atlantic water,
beautiful hotels and resorts with lots of attractive amenities,
an impressive service-based workforce at these resorts,
reasonable security and perception of security (vs., say, Egypt),
lots of sun,
reasonable prices (not cheap, but not expensive)
for Americans, it's still close to the US in case an emergency calls home,
easy to get to,
assistance with new passport regulations,
a slower atmosphere which lets people rest and get their bearings back again (which is usually the point of a vacation in the first place, no?)
easy access to child friendly environments

The warm weather and calm beaches. The Bahamas is usually cheaper to travel to compared to other tropical islands.

It's pretty, has gambling, is close to the U.S. and is warm when American states are cold.

The bright sunny days. I just got back and am sad to be home in Chicago where it was 40 degrees when I got here!

getting almost or completely naked in the sun with absoloutely nothing better to do. sounds nice huh. remember the tourist season is crazy and is like a mirror image of your weather system, only 45 degrees off the circle of life and that includes the fiscal yr, nutzzzzzz. someday im going back to jamaica.

The beach water is awesome. The weather. Inexpensives cruises from the east coast to the Bahamas. (3/4 days for $299)Easy air travel for Canadians and east coast cities and states.) My first trip to the Caribbean was the Bahamas and I'm from the east coast.
