That depends on alot of things.
St, Lucia, small beautiful with a French flavor !
Grenada, the isle of spice, you really do smell the nutmegs when you land. I love it..less crime, a taste of the real Caribbean.
Barbados, a bit of English here and there, the strongest accent in the Caribbean. The most populated island in the Caribbean. Wall to wall people downtown, but the beaches are lovely.
calm on one side and good for surfing on the other.
Jamaica, the largest English speaking island in the Caribbean, lots of variety. Go to Ocho Rios or Negril to stay away from the crowds. Go with a friend, or stay at an all-inclusive. You can Night club with reggae, or sip Red Stripe beer watching a sunset and devouring jerk pork or chicken.
There are so many islands, and they are all different. What they all have in common is beautiful beaches, and a laid back way of life.
It is best to talk to a travel agent who knows the islands, this way she can match, your budget and desires with the best.
Remember if you don't like your room, tell the manager they will change it to please you.
Find out as much as you can about the island before you go. The island's Tourist Board will be able to tell you over the telephone and send you brochures. |

Cuba is a beautiful island...amazing people, warm and hospitable...the cayos (the keys) are breathtaking!
Barbados is also a beautiful island. The water is smooth like glass on the Caribbean sea side.
But Cuba takes first place...lots of culture, not so commercialized and beautiful scenery, ocean, etc... |

St. Lucia, because of its natural beauty.
Barbados, because my boyfriend and friends live there, and it's one that has me keep coming back to. Also, it has a lot to offer, including the beaches and water activities!
Jamaica, because of the culture, and so on.
BUT...
If I had to choose ONLY ONE, it'd be Barbados because that's where I feel home at. |
