Since the last increase - I rarely buy bread, I usually make a lil bake or bread or go by my Mother for some!

Doubles though is hard to give up though I have cut down considerably. I think we should invest in cultivating our own wheat! Or look into other methods of making flour - corn, cassava, etc.

People cannot say ah go bake cause its easier said than done for some.

gosh dem damn food prices goin up agin!!well.. we go still ha to live ..yes..ah tell yuh every damn day things goin up in this country.. is ah shame...and imgine wat the food prices go be.. if PNM come back in power...$10.00 for bread...steUps

Ah agree with Lez, less buying more baking and ah doh even like homemade bread. But the price going up again, ah will have to eat it.

I really think we need fresh faces running the country. A shake up might help.

yuh kno iz sad dat dem prices going up so, but we here in ny feeling it de same way. ah doubles here iz $1 USD. so dat iz about $6TTD. bust up shut is $7USD i.e. $13TTD.

Crazy. Prices getting higher is ridilicious. But as every year gets may be the reason for high then higher the next.

I am afraid we locals just have to be more resourceful. My mother buys bread once in a blue moon. She usually buys all the ingredients and makes enough bread to last about two weeks. She also has a kitchen garden where she grows all sorts of common fruits, vegetables and seasonings. If people buy everything they need at the supermarket they will be placing themselves in unnecessary expense. Not everyone has the time to do their own baking or tend to their own kitchen garden. However, considering how insane food prices are nowadays I suggest they at least try to make the time.

Ah figure it out.... after all the chronic disease that Ministry of Health say they trying to minimise ($67M in advertising) ... they found the least expensive method to curb the obesity related chronic diseases....

Make foodstuff so expensive people could only buy a little bit ah food....

me aint now wat to say again bout prices this rounds nah, as chara say, clothes getting cheaper than groceries( and dat still so expensive)
and minimum wage gone up by a whole dollar!!!!!!!!!!!!

every one has to make the decision about what is important to them and what they want to spend money on. i for one will be buying less bread and baking more.

Well meh dear.As me mother say de world go still have to go round.

I personally think that prices for food stuff ridiculously high now.it cheaper to buy clothes than food these days.

I love flour but now I catch myself eating more provisions and I does bake bread rather than buy.The upside of baking your own bread is tha you know it not full of hot air.

Nothing wrong with that.. Just buy one drink less at the party so yuh go have yuh doubles money at 4 in the morning..
