I'm a Barbadian currently living in Canada and I must say, reading all the comments they are not far off from the truth. "Bajans" love food, parties and dinks. They are proud of their island and culture. Yes we do speak our mind and we cus when we say it with feeling. You know we use the french words. Don't cross us or it's hell to pay. We will keep you in mind. Bajan men cherish our friendships and our women. The problem is we cherish too much women. Love to work and love to party but I think party always takes the upper hand. We tends to be natural commedians. Nice country to visit but also very expensive. But trust me with the right guide you will have a hell of a time.

!Well, I'm a bajan and I'm downright proud of it. Bajans can be very envious jipsy and all in your face but that's only if you get in their business unnecessarily or diss their friends and family. We bajans real protective of friends and family its like you mess with one you mess with all but because we all love to have a good laugh you can diss us and we'll diss you back as a joke even if that ain't the intention.
Bajans are laid back and kool.We tell it like it is and most of us aren't afraid to help our buddies plus the fellas always looking dappa

some are good some are bad but they're not afraid to speak their mind if u do Sumthing stupid they'll tell u like it is RAW
so keep ure guard up around us bein opinionated isnt a bad thing.

I don't know where you heard this from, but I have a lot of Barbadian friends and boyfriend. There are some good, some bad on the entire island. Most Bajans have been very nice to me, now that's the truth. That's right, I said, MOST, I've met some dumb ones who come up to me to invite me to his house, and so on only becuase they wanted the "thing" which I gave a BIG NO to.

This coming from a Czech female who lives in Canada.

P.S. the island can be laid back and all, it all depends.

The "BARBADIANS" cool man, they are our neighbours.
This is from a Trini who used to work with some of them. They are proud of their country and culture.
As in any case there are some good and some bad, and i am yet to meet a "bad" one.

From my experience bajans are nice but just very conservative. The island is nice but the vibe is not as laid back and relaxed as other islands.

I have nothing against Bajans those I have encounter are nice and friendly, the only thing I would say is that some have an attitude that everybody else is stupid. Just like how it is said that Jamaicans are aggressive and full of themselves and rightfully so.LOL

Every Barbadian is different. Some are good and some are bad. I personally think there are more good ones around.
