Puerto Rico is Beautiful but too Americanized....You'll find almost everything you have in US..even a Macy's. The currency is the same as USA. If you're traveling from the usa and you're a US citizen ..You don't need a Passaport..

To taste the Puertorican cuisine You have to eat at the local restaurants..not in the Hotel....

The night life at Old San Juan is great and SAFE... the island is 100 x 35 so if you rent a car and you;re good with Maps..You will Love it...

Check out "excursiones Tierra adentro"..where they take you rapelling and exploring under ground rivers....

I LOVE Puerto Rico. I went there on a couple of vacations - first on a cruise, then to visit there for a week. It was great. Snorkling, Scuba, rainforest, desert, old town, multi-ethnic...it is really a great place.

If circumstances were different, sure, I'd live there.

i am actualy been to puerto rico and i am puerto rican. it is beautiful just like the bahammas but a little more pact tward the nothern and north eastern part. in the middle lies the only tropical rain forest in the United states it was alot of fun when i went there. there is a lot to do
(and most people there speak engilish and use US dollor)

i could go on and on about Puerto Rico i lived there for 3 years. I lived on the military base , which is now closed. But it was a bueatiful island i if the base would have stayed opened i would hve wished i could have stayed there longer. Some of the best memories of my life are on that island. And they will never be forgetten. I wish i could go back and visit the place and see how it has changed in the last 6 years. If u live there be happy that u do. The place is bueltiful enjoy it.

I think Puerto Rico is the greatest place on earth. The weather there is really lovely, and when it rains, the rains is soft and warm. The rainforest near Fajardo/San Juan is beautiful. There are so many exotic birds there. However, I do not recommend actually eating out at a restaurant that is not in San Juan or at your hotel. The resort I stayed at, Wyndham El Conquistador in Fajardo, was great. They have excellent rooms and a private island. It is a really nice resort, but it is only for people who are able to spend the $$$$. It such a unique destination, a great place to take the family. I guarantee you will have a blast there, you will remember it for the rest of your life! Hope you have fun!
