I would go to Sandals.com as they may be a bit more but you get what you pay for, with these large resorts there is no tipping, airport transfer,all the food you can eat, and all the booze you can drink, I can promise you this once you go, you will go back again and again and again, its the people who work there they are super friendly and only care to make sure you have the time of your life, and if you go you will. check out www.tripadvisor.com plenty of pitcures, reviews and price quotes, and the pitcures of from people who have gone there and not just what the resorts want you to see

If you are speaking of Resort and Air, I would say go to your travel agent. They can find the best deals. In fact, check with several. Some work on commission, and some don't. I checked around and saved several hundred dollars.
As far as where to stay, I can truly reccomend the RIU chains. They are new, all-inclusive, food, drinks, coctails, rooms, etc. I went to the RIU club resort hotel in Negril. It is probably a year old. Great rooms, great service, 5 restaurants, 5 bars, 2 pools, and its right on the beach. Negril has the best water, and the best beaches.
So check around, and consider the RIU's.

Stay away from the big names like Sandals, Beaches, Superclubs, Jamaica Grande, Ritz, etc. These resorts are highly overpriced. One of the most affordable resorts that I have stayed at is Point Village and the amenities are quite efficeient.

The big names I mentioned above are over-rated and you can go to a few smaller resorts and enjoy the same fun as you would at a big name resort. Point Village is a really cool family, singles, couples resort and the staff is really friendly and accomodating.

I have also stayed at FDR Pebbles in Trelawny (twice), Holiday Inn in Montego Bay (twice) and FDR in Runaway Bay. These are all nice resorts (FDR in Runaway Bay was the most expensive of the four I stayed at).

American airlines have some good deals on vacation packages and so do Delta airlines and Air Jamaica. I have used all three before and on occasions I have split the way I purchased my package. Eg. I purchased the airfare when the airline had a sale and then contacted the hotel directly for a deal. Since I stayed at Point Village on four occasions they give me a repeat customer discount. You can mention to either of these resorts that a repeat customer highly recommended them and if they can offer you a deal to entice you to visit them. Sometimes it works and you have nothing to lose in asking.

Some of the resorts can even book your round-trip airfare from Jamaica and they sometimes have specials that they can offer too.

I stay away from travel agents because I can just as easily book everything myself by going directly to the resorts or airlines websites. On rare occasion the travel agent would have a sale, but remember this, they have to make a commission for their business! If you book directly there is no middle person and your trip can come out cheaper.
