You don't need no damn passport to Puerto Rico, I don't know what she's been smoking but Puerto Rico is part of the United States it's a state...Your teacher should of taught that to you in middle school...All you need is a driver's license and another state issued id because if you like the night scene you might lose an id...So carry one with you and leave the other at the hotel just in case...Have fun and safe trip to Puerto Rico of one of states of america, lol... |

Passport: everyone needs a passport to enter any U.S port. If you are an alien green card holder, you will need to travel with your card and with your passport. Since 911, Americans need to show passports to re-enter the U.S. If it is your first return since 911, they have to take fingerprint samples, eye scans and to create a personal database at the airport when you return. Years ago, you would just board a domestic flight--no more: nowadays you have to show and be documented when you return.

Sorry, but I do need to advice you the above people are absolutely incorrect.
Starting Jan 8th 2007 it will be required to have a passport for the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, Bermuda and yes San Juan, Puerto Rico. I know it is a US Territory and that is where many are assuming and have noticed on this site that several have taken this info with them and are going to run into well problems considering if you don't have a passport when you show up at the airport you won't be boarding that flight.
Passport Centers are very backed up apply ASAP. Depending on where your application goes which you have no control over it can take 4 - 12 weeks to get it. |

If you plan to stay in Puerto Rico you will only need a state issued ID to check in at the airport. But if want to visit other Caribbean islands you might need your passport since they are not US territory. |
