we speak Spanish in Cuba.. for an outsider, hola is just fine. We say "que bola asere" mostly which is "what's up man" but when you are an outsider or foreigner it would seem funny to hear to us.

Kailee
Cuban???? How do you say hello in Cuban? Hola! They speak Spanish.

Kyleontheweb
The official language is Spanish, which would make it "Hola"

helphesaidineedaprofilename
Hola, they speak spanish

Forlorn Hope
Don't they speak Spanish???

In which case: HOLA!!

fizzy_wolf
They speak spanish...it's Hola.

Fraudster
Try saying 'Que Tal' or 'Que Pedos' which is more informal than the usual Hola.....

michelle
hello in Spanish is "hola."
however every spanish speaking country has their own slang way to greet people, like we would say "hey" or "hi."
they may also say something like "eh, asere!" which would be "hey, man!" etc etc.

i have a great website but it's in spanish. i'll post it anyway for anyone interested.
