Actually, the main export, dollar wise, is PHARMACEUTICALS... most of the medicine and drugs you buy in the U.S., Canada and Mexico COME FROM PUERTO RICO.. that is their largest industry. |

i would say coffee. you can look it up but i am almost positive it is. rum is important but most people (especially in the western part of the island) make their living by growing coffee. check out maricao. i think that is the major coffee town. |

It's not an obvious answer, not sure why that answerer had to be rude.
I saw a tv show (cna't remember the name of it) where a Puerto Rican family owned a rum making establishment. In that fictional show, they stated that Puerto Ricos most imprortant export is Rum.
