What is Renting A House in Trinidad Going FOR ?

I'm thinking about moving back to Trinidad. But I will need to rent a house for a year and then posibbly buy my own. What is a house rental price these days, something nice with at least four bedrooms in a nice area, is there a website or anything I can check . Also what about the job market, although I will definitely want to open my own business, but it will help to get a feel for the place first and see what business i can do. " who am i kidding, it will be along the food line"
I used to be a registered nurse in Trinidad before I came to the US, When I left Trinidad I had like 9 O'levels and 5 A'levels. But since moving to the US, I did go back to College and I have a lot of degrees, " don't know why" even a Phd in early childhood education, but my love and passion is cooking. I even went and got my BA in Culinary Arts. Maybe I can get a job for a year and then open up my business or just be lazy for a few months and then open up my business.. Posse I need some feedback.
Additional Details
jimmyboycalgary, I'm done with stocking up on degrees, I'm good to go. I'm going trinidad for christmas and I will be spending a month, so I will check out things and get back a feel of the place. I am looking to reside on my return in northern or eastern part of trinidad, i'm not familiar with south too much.

you got to contact someone there.I in USA , moved 4 yrs ago but I know the cost of things gone up in the last 5 years. You should just use your US dollar leverage and make a downpayment on a house, renting is pretty high for a whole house. I know the University of west indies is now free and dey have ah University of Trinidad and tobago now, so yeah, you will need to stock up on those degrees, cause you know how trinis love 2 things...education and free! so now ah degree would be as common as 5 CXC's .
I'd take a little 2-4 week trip first to get back a feel for things and make some contacts with people in real estate and business. Nice areas i know in south are Phillipine, palmiste, Belair, Gulf view. I'd say to buy a house outright would be under $200,000US if you use the 6 to 1 leverage and the right contacts, which is what i plan on doing in future.

EDIT: doe study them real estate people who trying to sell and rent in US dollars, doe even mention you was in america...they will just see $$$$$$$

Here is one real estate site to give you some ideas - http://www.century21cycb.com/
How about googling "trinidad real estate" and see what you get? we find that rentals are astronomical these days.

it is very expensive to rent in Trinidad these days, do you have anyone you can stay with for a while and then buy a piece of land and build, so when you done, you don't have any debt!! if not, trinidadexpress have links to rental properties!!

hottawarrior - win lose or draw
girl friend, people in trinidad discovered real estate agents, so every thing sky high!

houses renting from anywhere between TT2000 to US5000 ah month depending on where yuh want to live. d average salary in this country is bout 4000 ah month.

and selling from about 500000 dollars up. damn, with at least 4 bedroom, in ah nice area...you looking at at least 850000 to start, closer to 1 mil, d express classifieds would have all the info that you need, and even if you using ah real estate agent and dont even mention that yuh from foreign, and dat yuh have yuh own business.

About twelve US dollars a month. More if you want plumbing. Job market is good if you are educated.
