My boyfriend currently lives in Jamaica,and i live in New York.I visit him every 3 months or so.Long distance relationships can be dificult! I make decent money here(I am in the medical field),but miss him like crazy!!!Can anyone suggest what field of work is the best to get into as far as making a decent living in Jamaica?I am considering dual citizenship(traveling back and forth).Any advice would be much appreciated! I'm from Jamaica and if your looking to move there and make a decent living there are a couple of good fields.
1. Become a teacher
2. Anytime in the bank
3. Also anything the hotel area
I know you said your in the medical field, you can try the hospitals but it all depends where your boyfriend is living. If it's more town you will stand a better chance then if he lives in the country.

Well you havent said WHAT ASPECT of medicine you are involved in. That would be key to any recommendations.
Doctors and pharmacists make good money here. The salary will be probably at LEAST 50% less than what you woudl get in the USA, but in most respects you will still live comfortably.

go to www.caribbeanjobs.com and look for a job in jamaica. there are some salaries posted.

I THINK YOU SHOULD CONTINUE WITH THE MEDICAL FIELD IF YOU GO DOWN THERE BUT CONSIDER THAT YOU WILL NOT BE MAKING THE SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY AND YOU WILL HAVE TO DO THE SCHOOLING ALL OVER AGAIN BUT MAYBE YOU SHOULD GET YOUR BF TOGET A GREENCARD AND COME HERE LIFE IS EASIER......WELL NOT REALLY
