Well, speaking from experience... I guess it really just depends on what you are looking for. I agree, the iPod is pretty sweet. Albeit, probably a little overrated, but all the same a great device. They all have their own goods and bads, but I don't want to give my iPod up.

Creative has some pretty good players as well. Maybe not as good as the iPod, but still pretty good.

The Sony PSP is on a completely different scale. Not a great MP3 player, but good enough, but then you can take your movies and games with you, pretty nice.

Each player has something unique and special to it, afterall, isn't that what he have been taught since we were children? ;-)

i love it!!

it holds 1000's of pictures, 4000 songs, it has the radio, it has a voice recorder and you can record songs off the radio. its compatible with rhapsody, napster and other things other than itunes. it has an alarm clock so you can wake up to your favorite songs. it lights up blue and looks really cool. its like really nice. oh yah it charges right from your computer with a regular dsl cord and you never gotta buy and extra battery unless you want one if your goin on long trips. it has 15 hour battery life. and its in COLOR!! you can set your pictures on there as background pictures and its has a touch sensitive touch pad plus you can change the colors and stuff on it. trust me its better.

they also have the new 60 gb video one i dont own but it sounds really cool and has been rated better than the ipod video. i personally think theyre better than ipods.

iPods are crap!!! Get a Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen Extra. It has 30 Gig music/Data and the battery is user replaceable. You have to send in your ipod to have the battery replaced at a cost of $100 + battery.
