It is gorgeous. It is a US territory so no passport required & it has all the same amenities as the US, but less taxes! People are friendly & the land & weather is amazing! El yunque rain forest- beautiful w/ waterfalls. Camuy caves are wonderous! La Parguera(near Ponce) has a biolumenesnt Bay. You take a boat ride out on water that glows at night. There are private beaches like culebra. Luquillo is told to be the most beautiful beach & Mona island is like the gallapagos Islands w/ sea turtles. Oh definitely visit El Morro(fort in San juan) & walk the beautiful colored streets of Viejo(old) san juan. People speak english in San Juan & other big towns. There is fishing, boating, scuba diving, snorkelling, jet skiing, any water activity u can imagine. You can horseback ride on the beach in isabella. Tour guides can take you to most major attractions. If you want to venture out rent a car at the airport & get a map. & the food is good. Try everything local.

I do know I am Puerto Rican and Puerto Rico is one of the best island in the Caribbean because of the foods, attractions, beaches that's why they call Puerto Rico La isla del encanto because of its beauty.

It's very much like being in the states, but with a different flare. We have malls, fast food, movie theaters, buildings,etc. Plus we have great beaches and a great tropical environment.

It is the most beautiful island in the world. The weather is hot, but in the night, there is a wind that calms you. It is the best feeling. The sights are awesome. Check em out in the internet. Every time we go, we go by the ocean. And we can hear it from where we are. You can't compare Puerto Rico to anything else. You'll love it.

form you own opinion and memories. you should make plans on going in the future.

While I HATE to agree with a republican I have to say that his answer was right on the money. Just read the online newspapers and see for yourself. This place is infected with mediocre, lazy, racist, fundamentalist, ignorant individuals. I have lived here almost all my life (leaving for good soon)and I feel ashamed of what we've become. The true hero's here died a long time ago and what's left is people who live for appearances, beer and government benefits.

Puerto Rico is beautiful! The people are great and the beaches are to die for! Many people in Puerto Rico are bilingual, so don't worry if your Spanish is not that great. If you rent a car, you will get a map of the island and remember to use the internet as a great resource for obtaining info before travelling.

It is a great place for a caribbean vacation.

Great Scenery, culture, food, music, beaches, mountains, old towns / cities.

It has the only rainforest in the US Forestry Service and it is well worth a visit.

Puerto Rico have/had and still have their culture and history, but being an United States territory, its pretty much the same, thou Spanish its the official language, English becomes second. San Juan can be stressful but also very romantic and wild. Far from S.J. it would be more rural.

I do,I am from there.
It's okay.Like in every place there are good thing and bad things.But it has a lot of cool places.Like "El Yunque"( a super cool rain forest),"Las Cavernas de Camuy"(like caves,but really cool ones),"San Juan"(the capital,the Spanish build their 'homes',and a lot lot more.But isn't the best place to move in this moments....
