Look here Lickshot...or whoever you be....every country have a bad side...and I sure your's no better ...so haul you F-in tail and doh come back if yuh doh like it. Go and bad talk your own country.

Crime is a current front burner here and we could try to justify and thing and say is mainly gangs and in "certain" areas that majority of it happens. But the truth is....even though this may be true...a external and foreign view will only see it as a whole so...all ah we looking like blasted murderers and criminals. And it does really have some dotish crime too..and no lie..it have dotish police too. And damn truth is ...I would rather live nowhere else in the world but right here in sweet TnT because there is no place like here! There is bad...but there is so much more good! I not apologising for nobody bad experiences...but alot of people always come with a nasty negative attitude in the first place..so thats all they see.

Junior you is de one askin all de questions about telecommunications is not you self going to school in Port of Spain? Why yuh actin like yuh on another planet somewhere? Port of Spain is just like everywhere else, but it's a highly populated area so of course the more people yuh have in one place the more of everything else yuh will have.

And Lickshot wit ah name like dat I should be de one scared of you!

The first three answers are totally ridiculous!

Port-of-Spain is like any other city in the world - yes we have the occasionally flooding when the rain falls, but we do look to it as "cleansing of the streets"

The crime is not as bad as the Gaza Strip, Afghanistan, Coloumbia, etc

The Police are there to Protect and Serve (and a lil' bribe will assist)

lickshot haul yuh ....
dotish set ah cudderz munt talk dat, grow ah brain nah jed

jointheunc

hardly anyone "lives" in Port-of-Spain anymore

Those who could afford have move out to the suburbs,
and those who could not afford are still there.

Some high rise apartments are being constructed ,
but those will be gated communities and stuff.

I've heard its pretty dangerous and that violent crime is a problem.

Trinidad benefited from the cricket world cup recently but there is racial tension (between blacks and asians) and it's not 100% safe at night. Large groups tend to wandering the street openly smoking pot and drinking.

I travel a lot and I have to admit, I did not feel safe being there.
