Can I say I'm envious? I've been on several myself! They are terrific!
First off, bring a swimsuit that has a pocket that zips up. This way, you don't have to worry about where your cash or ID is when you're laying on the beach or doing water activities. Don't forget sunglasses, and sun screen! If you've never cruised before, I would also recommend bringing Dramamine, JUST IN CASE your body can't adjust to the motion of the ship. You will be miserable without it if your body can't adjust.
I also recommend sandals that can get wet. Oh, and there are one or two formal nights - bring a suit (and tie), or rent a tux, this should be available to rent PRIOR to your cruise date, and would be delivered to your room, if you rent from the cruiseline.
Don't forget your camera! (if you do scuba or snorkeling, consider investing in a cheap disposable underwater camera, and buy it locally because they are available for purchase on the ship, but it's much more expensive)
Knock on wood, I haven't ever forgotten anything yet.
Good luck and have fun! Take me with next time, K? |

Well, thus far I've pretty much remembered everything I need. But I did wish on one cruise I took more memory for the camera, but took care of that when I returned.
Basically, I just take a little time before I go to research what to pack so I know I have everything. You can look around online to find lots of lists, so far I 've found this to be one of the best: http://cruises.about.com/cs/cruiseplanning/a/packinglist.htm
Enjoy your cruise! |
