Well, as everybody has said, the money is us currency. However, you DO NOT need a passport to travel there.....US TERRITORY.... They may change that shortly, but as of now, you don't have to have a passport to travel there or Hawaii.

US Dollars

mountainbird51

The only currency in use in the US Virgin Islands is the US Dollar.

It's the U.S. Virgin Islands because they're part of the U.S. Thus they use the good old American dollar.

stella39
The dollar is the only currency used in the US Virgin Islands)

NO passport needed. Birth certificate and valid photo ID is needed.

Not sure what other currency you saw, as even in the British VI, they use the dollar.

You will still need a passport to visit there, though. Wacky!
