What is the best Caribbean Island to live on 6 mo. a year? |
So, my husband and I just got back from our Honeymoon Cruise to the Caribbean and now we can't wait to go back!
We are in the food industry and would like to open a biz for tourists and travelers either food-cart, juice-cart or hand-made chocolate related. Does anyone have any ideas as to what island might be the nicest to set up shop? And the easiest to do biz on? Oh, and fairly affordable for housing?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Just a note -
We visited on our Cruise....
San Juan, Puerto Rico (not a favorite of ours, kinda trashy)
St. Thomas (almost too commercialized but still nice)
St. Maarten/St. Martin (a fav of ours and Orient Beach is fun too!)
Labadee, Haiti (owned by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines - not much there but absolutely beautiful)

cuzz san juan is very beautiful and i think it will be the best place for you to live cuz is a very american town you will find anything you should try to find apartment in hato rey, condado or rio piedras and it has like a million ourist a year so it will be the best place for you to open a restaurant and the goverment will help you |

well i will just say i thought puerto rico was awesome so that is probably not a bad choice but i have not been to the others which i am sure are nice as long as they are not dangerous like cuba |

I believe the area in Negril, Jamaica has great investing opportunities may it be hotel, food, dinery, etc.
Now, why Negril?
- Percentages of tourism are growing in Negril each day! It is becoming a hot spot for vacationers!
- THE MAIN REASON IS THIS! Negril does not yet have many facilities inner city, even near the famous 7 mile beach, one of the most famous in the world. It is this that will earn you profit.
- If you liked St. Maarten, you will definitely like Negril, they are very similar
- Negril is safer compared to the rest of Jamaica, so safety is not concern
