What is the best Supermarket in Trinidad?

I usually go to Hilo because its clean and reasonable (contrary to other peoples opininons) and I earn bonus points there as well. I also go to Pricemart since I can get somethings in bulk there. But what are some other supermarkets in Trinidad that are your favourite.

I've also shopped at Jumbo Foods in the past - they are really cheap, but really small and crowded!

Definitely Hi-Lo. (Even though de Point Fortin branch have some real sour-face, grouchy 'oman workin' dey. lol) I prefer the Gulf City branch of Hi-Lo. It's one of the best places to do your Christmas shopping.

The prices are Unbeatable , and on top of the excellent prices, they have a memebership card, and you does get 2% discount ( it does add up!)

at the end of the year, we does alwasy get a reaal nicee gift ( worth about 60 TT)

I live in St. James and shop at either Woo Ling's or the St. James Meat Cottage. They have great prices. Occasionally, I go to John's. I would shop at Tru Valu, but...is it me, or they don't really live up to their name? I went to Tru Valu at Long Circular, and the things cost more than they do at the other groceries. I thought they were supposed to be cheap.

Whenever I go further out west on business, I buy at the grocery at Alyce Glen. They have reasonable prices. Also, I have tried Payless on Charlotte Street, as well as Sing Chong. I liked the price of their Turkey Ham. Good size, excellent quality, reasonable price.

J & D Supermarket, St. Johns Road, St. Augustine! It has all you need, and not all the stuff you don't! Family-run, friendly, convenient - I have shopped there for over 20 years, only going to Tru Valu/Hi Lo etc. for speciality items.
