The island of Dominica not to be mistaken with the spanish Dominican republic.
The unique sites will make excellent backdrops for photos
and also great sight seeing tours
The island has resorts/villas with spas nestled in rainforest making it real romantic,
numerous private waterfalls ,365 rivers ,freshwaterlakes etc etc
Was one of the main countries Pirates of the Caribbean 2&3 filmed-so exploring the various sites seen in the movie is quiet exciting.
Snorkelling and Scuba diving the Island has been ranked#2 best alantic destination by the readers choice magazine 2007 for scubadiving and snorkelling.
Branded as the whale wathcing Capital of the Caribbean-that means great whale and dolphin tours etc
hey just check out the webistes i provide i hope they do all my talking.

St. Martin on the european side.

Nassau in the Bahamas.

If money is not a problem, Bequia in the Grenadines. You fly to St. Vincent and take the ferry for one hour from Kingstown, the capital and you're there. Or you can get a small six seater commuter aircraft from Kingstown. The ferry is cheaper and runs every hour from about 8.00 a.m. until 11.00a.m. lots of good hotels. ex. the Plantation, The Frangipani. Get a brochure from your travel agent. good food, cheap booze, entertainment and gorgeous beaches.

For my money it would be Negril , Jamaica . And at Negril you can find any type of hotel you want except the big concrete monstrosities you see at all the other resorts

I dont mean to bash other peoples answers but Nassau won't be that warm. It's roughly the same temperature as Florida and is super touristy.

St Martin is divided in 2 but both are European--its Dutch and French owned.

Dominica does have a lot of rivers and it is very reclusive but it also is very boring and has little to do outside of hiking and diving. I had no intention of hiking on my honeymoon and you have to be certified to dive.

Depends on your personality really but for my honeymoon I wanted someplace tropical that I could spend a lot of time laying out on the beach, but also have lots of things offered like parasailing, jetski rentals, and shopping for souvenirs.

Several islands are GREAT for that. St Thomas is quiet and reclusive out on the Megan's Bay side. But quite tourist oriented--lots of restaurants and shopping--on the other side where the cruise ships dock. St. Lucia is also great. I would stay at an all-inclusive resort. It was gorgeous, nice beachs, great atmosphere for honeymooners--but just like Jamaica has a lot of bad areas if you wander too far out of the resort. And last, Barbados. Barbados is a gorgeous tropical island with tons of snorkeling, great nightlife. Lots of activities going on. And yet most areas of the beach are rather deserted and you'll have plenty of privacy.

Check out http://www.caribbean.com/ and if you can, get a copy of Currents (Carnivals magazine) they have a lot of reviews of their stops. Tripadvisor.com also has great reviews of resorts and hotels in the Carribean. Good Luck!
