What is the best cruiseline for two guys in their early 20's?

We'd be staying 5 days and we're looking for the following:

1) Adventures off the ship
2) Gambling
3) Great nightlife on or off the ship.

Carribean or some sort of tropical area much preferred.
Additional Details
I don't remember saying anything about a gay cruise.

I've been on two Caribbean cruises. One was on Carnival, the other Royal Caribbean. I thought Carnival seemed to have more young people on board. Both were nice though. I think cruises are great vacations. Both lines (most lines) seem to have similar ports of call (if not the same). Every port that we went to was very touristy though. There are always a ton of different "excursions" at every port.

My friend and I were thinking about a cruise this year, but since we are both single, we decided to do an all inclusive land resort instead. The single population seems to be much higher on that type of vacation. Cruises definitly seem to be more geared toward couples, families, and older folks.

If you do choose a cruise, I suggest going to the web sites of the different lines and looking at what they offer for shore excursions for the various destinations. That may help you make a more educated selection of lines and destination. I think that the Western Caribbean was a lot of fun. Jamaica (every one tried to sell us pot right out in the open..it was funny), Mexico, Grand Caymon. It's all fun though. Lot's of umbrella drinks in the sun, great meals, something different to do every day. It's a nice way to relax.

Have a blast!! Wish I was going with ya!

We went on Carnival and had the time of our lives!!!

check with a local travel agent....there are age restrictions for singles on a cruise...many require that you are 25 or married...
otherwise, Carnival is an excellent cruise line, average age is younger than some of the others. Royal Caribbean is also a great line for younger travellers... you've seen the commercials...they're full of new and exciting activities!
all of the ships offer a variety of activities and nightlife...a western caribbean cruise that stops in mexico and key west is always full of (inexpensive) fun on land...

Carnival is the "fun ship" It sounds like they offer pretty much everything you are looking for. They are also the least expensive line. I would go with a new ship to get a little nicer cruise as far as cleanliness, food and service is concerned.

Here is a link to check out: http://cruisecritic.com/reviews/cruiseline.cfm?CruiseLineID=8 You can find lots of information there.

Hope this helps!

Carnival has the best ratio of young people, because it's the least expensive. You'll find a lot of families also, but you should have a good number of people your age. Any cruise that goes over a weekend will be good too - I went on a Royal Caribbean cruise that was 4 days (Friday to Monday) - L.A. > Ensenada > At Sea > L.A. - and there were a ton of partying folks on the ship. The two cabins to the left of ours had a group of four guys in their 20s and they had a constant stream of young bikini-clad ladies in their cabin.

(Their bar bill was upwards of $600. We *might* have sneaked a peek at the page as it was sticking out from under the door on the last day.)

Carnival, Carnival, and Carnival, forget all of the rest.

The adventure will depend upon what itinerary you pick, i.e. which islands it stops at.

All ships have casinos that are open as long as the ship is not in a port; open all night.

All ships have discos and clubs that run most of the night EVERY night. They also have deck parties some evening on the top decks, under the stars.

Most 5 day cruises will go out of Miami or Ft Lauderdale to the Bahamas and mayeb Key West and with a stop at a private island for a beach party day.

It doesn't matter. Everyone on the cruise will be about 30 years older than you. Just go backpacking, ya hippie.

I hear there are gay cruises now and gay travel agencies. Otherwise check out swinger`s listings.

Unless you are really adamant about going on a cruise, I'd stay in a hotel in tropical local. These will usually be all inclusive and often times you can buy passes for so much and get into bars, etc for free.Cruises often times make you buy drinks (don't know if that's a deal or not). I went on a cruise and between 3 of us, easily spent a couple hundred dollars on drinks alone.
