www.ottleys.com Ottley's Plantation Inn on St. Kitts is an awsome honeymoon spot. The island is quiet and the Inn is romantic with "plunge" pools available to most of the rooms. There is a private Rainforest and mango grove on the property and the island is full of beaches, rainforests, diving, snorkling, and a volcano to climb. Its perfect.

Puerto Viejo, in Limon - Costa Rica
Unexpensive, fancy, tropical, wonderful, precious beaches, nice people, great dining... romantic atmosphere.

No doubt: St. John, USVI.

It is easy to get to. Just a short water taxi from St. Thomas, which has many direct flights daily from the US mainland. It is very laid back.

Approx 75% of the island is a nature preserve, so it will never be overdeveloped/overcrowded. Lots of great beaches, snorkeling is world-class. The main town, Cruz Bay, has good shopping, many fantastic restaurants, and a couple of nice waterfront bars.

There are two main resorts on the island, The Westin and Caneel Bay. Caneel Bay is the old Rockefeller estate that dates back to when the family owned the island and used it as a retreat. The Westin is a great resort and a bit less expensive than Caneel Bay.

There are also hundreds of individual villas that offer very reasonable weekly rates, if you prefer a little more privacy. Many have their own pools.

San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Great beaches (Isla Verde, Fajardo, Rincon), secluded beaches (Vieques), history (Old San Juan, Castillo El Morro and Castillo San Cristobal), fresh seafood (everywhere), casinos (Condado, Ponce), tropical rain forest (El Yunque), friendly natives, surfing (Rincon).

Most if not all natives speak English and Spanish.

US Teritory (no passport needed for US citizens).
